"Baru eTrex series adalah pertama kalinya kelas penerima yang dapat melacak kedua satelit GPS dan GLONASS secara bersamaan. GLONASS adalah sistem yang dikembangkan oleh Federasi Rusia yang akan beroperasi penuh pada tahun 2012. Bila menggunakan satelit GLONASS, waktu yang dibutuhkan bagi penerima untuk “mengunci” ke posisi adalah (rata-rata) sekitar 20 persen lebih cepat daripada menggunakan GPS. Dan ketika menggunakan kedua GPS dan GLONASS, penerima memiliki kemampuan untuk mengunci ke 24 satelit lebih dari menggunakan GPS saja
